Keep it up! Reply Long-time Nutritarian here. I noticed that Dr. Fuhrman has cited Professor Longo's studies on fasting and modified fasting, so I just read Longo's new book "The Longevity Diet" featuring his "fasting-mimicking diet". Though Longo IS Italian, and I thought biased toward pasta and olive oil, overall his recommendations seem solid. I just completed a test run of my version of a modified fast, which was basically my normal diet less the sweet fruits, oats, sweet potato, and beans this week, so basically 1/2 non-starchy veggies and 1/2 nuts/seeds for 5 days, and plan to do so again in April.
