Reflection speech

Reflection speech

This course has showed me how difficult
it is to speak in front of an audience or a camera. I never thought in a million
years it’d be hard for me to speak in front of a camera. This class has
definitely taught me a lot about myself. An in this speech I will be reflecting
on my classmates criticism that has helped me strengthen my public speaking
abilities. In the beginning of the semester I spoke very monotone and at a
unnatural slow pace. My classmates noticed this and gave me comments and feedback as to how I can improve my tone of speech. I’ve taken their advice and I
feel like I speak more naturally and not as monotone as I did getting this
semester. Second I’ve build more confidence when I’m presenting. I’ve
received plenty of positive and negative comments, which is great. I really like to
hear people’s honest opinions about me and how I’m presenting or my tone of
voice. I’ve taken these comments and reflected on how I can improve, which has
built my confidence a lot. I feel confidence is key when presenting
because it really brings out like body language and how I present and I just
I’m really happy that these comments have helped me build my confidence.
Lastly, I’ve been told to use more hand gestures or facial expressions. I’ve
taken this advice and I feel I’m trying my best to use hand gestures more
consistently throughout my speech and to not have such like a flat face and to
smile more and be more interactive with the audience. Overall, I feel I’ve
reflected on my classmates comments and really enjoyed their feedback. From me
speaking more naturally to building my confidence to using more nonverbal
communications. I’ve really appreciated the feedback that I’ve received from my
classmates and their feedback has helped me grow as a speaker. Thank you
