Where did Moroni Get the Sacramental Prayers from? (Knowhy #250)

Almost four hundred years after Christ’s
ministry among the Nephites, Moroni recorded on his plates the Nephite sacrament prayers in their entirety and testified that they were used in administering the sacrament according
to the commandments of Christ. These words are clearly related to the words
that the Savior used in administering the sacrament in Third Nephi, but Third Nephi does not say exactly what the words of the prayers were, so how was Moroni confident
that what he wrote was accurate? For one thing, the traditional words of the
sacrament prayers must have been written down on the Large Plates at or near the time of
Jesus. Also a connection between what Moroni wrote
and what King Benjamin said as he put his people under covenant during his speech may
also have played a role in how the Nephites were able to remember the sacramental prayers
word for word after Christ’s ascension. The words of Jesus likely replaced the language
of a rich history of covenant making rituals among the Nephites, especially those of King Benjamin. It’s possible that Jesus used familiar Nephite
covenantal language to help them better remember. Also, the sacramental prayers would have been immediately implemented and thus quickly memorized, which would add a strong traditional transmission of these precious words. As he finished the work of his father, Moroni began filling in the blanks that would have left future readers at a loss. And at that point, he saw it necessary to
include the sacrament prayers word for word. And now you know why.

  1. WELL SINCE YOU DO NOT FOLLOW THE bIBLE ALONE FOR TRUTH YOU WILL NOT SEE MORMONISM IS FALSE .. Proof Mormonism is false .Second Mormonism, or LDS WHATEVER NAME SAME FALSE calls Adams fall a good thing .The Bible proclaim it a curse (bad thing) on all creation .Mormonism “Because of the Fall, we are blessed with physical bodies, the right to choose between good and evil, and the opportunity to gain eternal life. None of these privileges would have been ours had Adam and Eve remained in the garden” (Gospel Principles, 29).Pearl of Great Price also proclaims this lie .The Bible eat the from the tree was rebellion against God .Adam and Eve enjoyed relationship with God before the fall Lost the relationship after they ate and sinned . The Bible Jesus also was God .Mormonism says Jesus progress to become God . Mormonism also falsely claim Mormon men become god over their own planet (just as they think Earth father God was once a man ) and their wives have the spiritual babies for whatever planet they become god over.. Utter nonsense folks . Humans will never become Gods Mormonism is false The LDS scriptures declare that the ultimate goal of a Mormon is to become a god and procreate for all eternity.

    The Doctrine & Covenants states:
19 And again, verily I say unto you, if a man marry a wife by my word, which is my law, and by the new and everlasting covenant, …Ye shall come forth in the first resurrection; …and shall inherit thrones, kingdoms, principalities, and powers, dominions, …and they shall pass by the angels, and the gods, which are set there, to their exaltation and glory in all things, as hath been sealed upon their heads, which glory shall be a fulness and a continuation of the seeds forever and ever.
20 Then shall they be gods, because they have no end; therefore shall they be from everlasting to everlasting, because they continue; then shall they be above all, because all things are subject unto them. Then shall they be gods, because they have all power, and the angels are subject unto them.
21 Verily, verily, I say unto you, except ye abide my law ye cannot attain to this glory. 22 For strait is the gate, and narrow the way that leadeth unto the exaltation and continuation of the lives, and few there be that find it, because ye receive me not in the world neither do ye know me. (Doctrine and Covenants 132:19-22)

Joseph Fielding Smith Jr., Doctrines of Salvation, Vol.1, p.69 – p.70:
THE STRAITNESS OF THE WAY. Mortality is the testing or proving ground for exaltation to find out who among the children of God are worthy to become Gods themselves, and the Lord has informed us that "few there be that find it."

Joseph Fielding Smith Jr., Doctrines of Salvation, Vol.1, p.97 – p.98:
ALL EXALTED MEN BECOME GODS. To believe that Adam is a god should not be strange to any person who accepts the Bible. When Jesus was accused of blasphemy because he claimed to be the Son of God, he answered the Jews: "Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?"
Joseph Smith taught a plurality of gods, and that man by obeying the commandments of God and keeping the whole law will eventually reach the power and exaltation by which he also will become a god.

  2. O God, the eternal father,

We ask thee in the name of thy son Jesus Christ,

to bless and sanctify this grub to the souls of all

those who partake of it, that we may eat it in

remembrance of the hot body of that master chef

who made a ton of loaves and fishes.

May we worship that chef in his holy house

    by wearing chef hats.

    Amen.
